newsletter of the International Commission of Slavic folklore at the International Committee of Slavists. It is published once a year by the Slovak Committee of Slavists, Institute of Ethnology SAS and Ethnological Institute AS CR in Brno. Executive editors have been working in Jan Stanislav Institute of Slavistics SAS since 2000, where also texts are graphically edited and printing materials prepared.
Slavistická folkloristika has been publishing since 1988 as a newsletter of the International Commission of Slavic folkore at the International Committee of Slavists. The aim of newslater´s publishing is to provide information about work of the International Commission of Slavic folklore at the International Committee of Slavists to all of Slavistic oriented folklorists. Achieving this aim is possible thanks to contributors from various Slavic and Non-Slavic countries. In the newsletter are published articles in all languages.
Slavistická folkloristika has had from the beginning a stable structure. Each issue contains an editorial section, information, literature and personals. Bilingual editorial is always published in a language of an author and in German. It reflects current questions of Slavistic folkloristic research, status and prospects for further research. A particular attention is addicted to actual information about preparation and process of International conventions of Slavists and reports of commission´s activities. Lists of committee members and their addresses are regularly updated in Newsletter´s site. Information and literary section provide reports of scientific events, conferences, considerable projects, publications – monographies, miscellanies and periodicals. In personals we commemorate anniversaries of important researchers in the field of Slavistic folkloristics.
